New Zealand Hops

Kohatu®, meaning stone or rock in Maori, was released in 2011. It was named after Kohatu, a small town nestled by the Motueka River, south west of Nelson, New Zealand. Even with a low alpha, when used as an early addition it features a pleasant, rounded bitterness. Big notes of grapefruit have been notes that seem to mellow out but still present in the finished product.
